Golems are a combo tribe?

I was toying with the idea of a golem deck built around Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero, a bad tribe in Boros for max jank. I remembered the old Pauper Battered Golem+Banishing Knack combo, and wondered if there were Boros combos. Before I knew it, I realized:
Blightsteel Colossus+Chandra's Ignition
Karn, Silver Golem+Mycosynth Lattice
Ancestral Statue+Mana Echoes+2 golems
Voltaic Construct+Karn, Silver Golem+any 3-mana rock
Apparently, Golems are a combo tribe.
I was personally thinking about building a deck with Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero as commander but never thought about it being a golem tribal. Pretty awesome! Anyway be sure to fill in with wide variety of boardwipes in order to make good use of the commander himself.

Did u mean Karn, the Great Creator + Mycosynth Lattice? I fail to see how Karn, Silver Golem + Mycosynth Lattice works

Dcku Scourglass+Gerard is gas, especially with Geode Golem

I would make it WUBRG so you have access to Composite Golem + Nim Deathmantle. While not techincally a golem, Golos, Tireless Pilgrim seems like a good commander.

I originally had a horrid 5-color combo list using the Attendants from Invasion, but it was just too bad. I just don't want to run any deck with both blue and green anymore, though. UGx has just gotten way too unbalanced, and Golos was a mistake to print as a legendary, imo. I honestly don't know what blatantly skirt the color identity rules more than a colorless card with a 5-color identity that also fixes on ETB.

Don't forget Mirror Entity is a golem. Run it with Nim Deathmantle and Mana Echoes for ETB bonanza.

You could, yeah. I just listed the 2-card combos that specifically include a golem. To me, if a tribal deck isn't winning with a card of its tribe, it's not really a tribal deck. For instance, if I do decide to change course on the Gerrard deck I've been collecting pieces for and make it golems, I might not include Midnight Guard, despite comboing with both Elemental Mastery and Splinter Twin, or, rather, exactly because of the combo potential. I'd prefer to stick to cards like Enlightened Tutor that can grab either piece of 6 of the 7 golem-centric combos above. Same goes for Vandalblast and Mycosynth Lattice. I'd chose one or the other.

I do think that Karn, the Great Creator could be argued for as a golem for the purposes of the argument above, but I, personally, would be a lot less tilted by having an opponent or two 'geddoned by Karn, Silver Golem than by a famous prison combo. Seems to undercut the point of playing a jank tribe.

One last thing I think is worth mentioning for anyone interested in the idea is that you only have 99 slots in a deck. The benefit to the cards above is that they really only take up 6 slots in a golem tribal deck, since the pool of playable golems isn't that deep, and you'd probably want to run the 6 golems listed as part of the 20-30 creatures in your tribal deck. The expensive, colorless nature of the tribe make Metalworker and Mana Echoes natural fits, and you'll want as many thicc mana rocks as possible to abuse with Gerrard to hit big mana targets for cards like Blightsteel Colossus. Also, with that density of combos, you'll get it by accident, so while I haven't run the math, it might be better to only run 2-3, perhaps with overlapping pieces, then rely on Enlightened Tutor as an all-purpose tutor.

BsT We do what we can. Also, I realized if golem combo is to be its golem-est, Bosh, Iron Golem just wins the game with any infinite mana combo, and none of the combos listed actually require white, so.
