Kraj. Using mimeo will ultimately end up with you using the graveyard to combo hardcore instead of just counter shenanigans

Gotta go with my boy Kraj, always points for the simic super jelly.

Kraj would probably be better for shenanigans. Ghave, Guru of Spores would probably be even better though if you wanted to also consider him.

As long as you run Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, you'really good.

This question bothers me. Asking me, "Which is the better breakfast food, pizza or tacos?" would give the same answer: Neither.
Why no mention of the best simic commander for +1/+1 counter shenanigans? Obviously Ezuri, Claw of Progress needs to be reckoned with if built right.

I feel like given equal deck builds that kraj would win over ezuri. Sure it's cute that you can draw 15 cards off of a fathom Mage every turn but kraj says I'm going to draw my deck out the same turn fathom Mage came into play. Then I'm going to exile everyone's libraries, make infinite tokens, gain infinite health, kill one of you poor bastards with infect that I didn't even know I had in this deck and then use your creatures worthless ability infinite times because screw you I'm a giant purple booger and I don't need no man.

@Deckologist does krag say "oops, infinite turns"?

I mean...yeah...he does... Kraj can add infinite counters to sage of hours and take infinite turns

@Deckologist does he do it as easily as ezuri does?

It may not be as easy (maybe one extra step needed) however it's more resistant to removal. While ezuri requires you to go to combat to apply counters on 1 creature kraj simply requires a 2 card infinite counter generator to place counters infinitely on infinite creatures. If someone wants to kill sage of hours before combat an ezuri deck needs to have a counterspell handy. If someone tries to remove a piece of the combo for kraj they can respond by placing 100000000000 counters on every creature they own and then take a ton of turns.

Both commanders are meh and require their own certain set of conditions to be good. The Mimeoplasm gets my vote simply because he includes another insane color to help speed it up. You can also be way more creative in the creatures you choose to strap together.Experiment Kraj is cute and gets a +1 for its jank factor but requires even more setup. Board hate is much more common than GY hate in most metas that I've seen. If we're gonna go pure jank, break out the Atogatog decks.

Personally I like having access to a third color, so in a choice between the Mimeoplasm and Kraj, I'd go with the Mimeoplasm.

For shenanigans I definitely have to go with Kraj
