Commander for Shrines

Commander (EDH) forum

Hey everyone I'm pretty new to EDH but with the release of M21 I want to build a shrine EDH deck.

I have looked at options for my commander and feel I have boiled it down to either Golos, Tireless Pilgrim or Sisay, Weatherlight Captain

I would love some feedback from more experienced EDH players, are these good choices? If so, which of the two would be better?

Thanks for taking the time.

Personally I would go with Sisay. Seems more fun to build around, can tutor for whatever you need at the moment, she gets around timing restrictions and doesn’t cast the cards. Also, I believe you would receive less flak from putting Sisay down at a table than you would putting Golos down.

You could check if your playgroup is okay with you just running Sanctum of All as your commander

But if you're going with vanilla rules then yes, those two are probably your best bet

@TypicalTimmy hmmm sisay-gods-shrines sounds very interesting... thank you for the suggestion.

@Coward_Token I dont think I would want to run the sanctum as my commander even if it were allowed.

Well this is what I've cobbled together so far Sisay, GodShrine Captain

I'd say of the choices given, Sisay. You could even run her as a Fake commander, and have Genju of the Realm as your "Real" commander

@Ender666666 I noticed you seem to be in the Toronto area, this may seem random but, is your name Dustin? My best friend from middle school used 'Ender' as a screen name back then.

Regardless thanks for the comments, Genju would be a great wincon in this deck.

Hey there, I am from Toronto, but no, I'm Dan, not Dustin.

I've always loved Genju and feel it should be a legal commander, at least casually

Lol figured it would be a little too coincidental but had to ask.
