Cheap Legendary Creatures

My friends have been asking me for ages to build a commander deck. Unfortunately, I have not one legendary creature to my name. I have $2 to purchase this legendary creature. Which one should I get? (Multicolor including green prefered.)

I love Selvala, Explorer Returned. She may not be the best for someone who is just starting out in EDH, but so long as you have good cards already, she becomes pretty good. Also, card draw in 
is sweet, and the ramp is nice to boot

Dromoka, the Eternal is pretty good cause u make cheap tokens and bolster one when he attacks idk though

Your Commander will depend on what type of deck you want to play: aggro, control, combo, goodstuff, midrange... No matter what, you'll have fun.

He's around 3 bucks as opposed to 2 but Kruphix, God of Horizons is an absolutely insane commander in my opinion. His ability to make you have no maximum hand size saves you the trouble of getting reliquary tower and other lands or cards that grant no maximum hand size and kruphix leads to this set up of "end of turn float all my extra mana" it allows for some really funny plays and huge creatures to happen. I had a game where I had something like 25 mana floating around to use just cause I could.

Isamaru, Hound of Konda is ~$3, but I built a fun deck around him that only costs ~$20 (if you take out five cards).

Rakdos, Lord of Riots is pretty sweet and i paid 1.97 for him, i have a straight red black agro with him that does alright. I've seen Karametra, God of Harvests for under two which is just straight mana fixing, Iroas, God of Victory is fun in a red white battalion deck but i think he might be four-ish, jaarad is pretty cool in b/g if you want to win by non creature damage, Kresh, the Blood Braided is under two, it depends on your play style they are all pretty agro however.

I'm personally partial to Darien, King of Kjeldor. He's fairly easy to build a not shit deck around (though a top tier one is a challenge), and he's usually not going for much more than $5.

Can't go wrong with Talrand, Sky Summoner less than $2 and can make a cheap edu deck with lots of blue counter spells laying around that not being used.
