So, i'm working on a deck with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Deceiver Exarch as a win con. I haven't started building the deck yet, but basically it mills infinitely, then flashbacks Dread Return for Goblin Dark-Dwellers for Victimize for kiki and exarch, and I can't decide what general to use. Any ideas?

The card not the person

If you want to go all in combo you can run Maelstrom Wanderer with just the two creatures and all the man lands in your colors. It isn't what one would call a good deck, but it is good for a laugh.

Oh Sedris, the Traitor King hardcore.

I run a grixis splinter twin edh deck just cause I love how the archetype worked in modern. Basically you get tons of good card selection loot effects, cheap and efficient reanimation stuff, great tutors, fantastic counter magic, and effective control elements.

Stuff like Intuition and Yawgmoth's Will are nightmares. Half the time, I go for end step Exarch, allow it to be countered, and reanimate both it and Kiki the following turn.

The deck is incredibly redundant and resilient. On the other hand, it's game plan is incredibly predictable once you've seen it a few times.

And why sedris?

You can unearth your combo pieces and just win win on the spot with that general

The deck also runs relatively few creatures, so a 5/5 can block well. But yeah, sedris can reanimate the combo pieces when needed.

So your saying, use sedris as a backup win-con if dread return or victimize gets countered?

He is in the right colors for what your trying to do and he could be a primary or back up way to go off. I'm sure there are other combos to look for with him, so that way you have different ways of winning.

Ok. I'll probably wait till I see what commander 2016 gives us, and then start building the deck.

I've been forced to run out Sedris as a blocker before. So far, I haven't been forced on the beatdown plan, but it's nice to have a general that can. I've had to send Arcanis the Omnipotent into the red zone to win games before in another deck. Don't discount it.

You should also use Buried Alive in your deck to get Kiki and Exarch in your graveyard faster. You could essentially just turn 1, Land+Sol Ring. Turn 2, Land+Demonic Tutor for Buried Alive and Vampiric Tutor for Victimize. Turn 3, Land+any 1-4 drop creature. Turn 4, Land+Buried Alive+Victimize = combo win. I am sure there are much faster ways of doing this. This is just an example.

Only problem is that you wouldn't be able to get Narcomoeba, Prized Amalgam and Ichorid for the dead return. But, if you have victimize in your hand, you don't need dread return.

so, would any of the commanders from commander 2016 work?

Eh not really. None of them really support the strategy. Ydris could but I don't think he'd be as good as sedris for what you're trying to do.
