Best Control Commanders

I'm looking to making a good control EDH deck and am wondering which general to pick. I've heard Grand Arbiter Augustin IV is pretty good, but what else is there in terms of decent control generals???
Sen Triplets looks like it could be really fun!

Really you could make decent control decks in almost any color. Except mono red, cause fuck mono red.

Daxos of Meletis can throw opponents cards back at them, and you gain life on each exiled cards mana cost.

If you build Sen Triplets , just don't forget Celestial Dawn . For the lulz.

It depends on the deck. You can build many strong control decks with generals that don't have hardcore control abilities. For example, Damia, Sage of Stone supports a control deck because of her colors and her card advantage ability. There are also many generals that do have control abilities.
You should think a lot about whether you need the control-oriented general for your strategy, or whether you like any of the other options.

It depends. Augustin runs tax / pillowfort based control well. There are tons of good commanders for a control shell. You generally want a shell based around a commander that supports you. Not only that, there are tons of different forms of control in EDH, like stax, pillofort, combo, goodstuff, etc.

I use Merieke Ri Berit
, but that was because I chose from the few I already had. Omnath and Adun Oakenshield
were the other 2 I had. I like low casting cost for a more serious deck personally. There are many good higher cost ones, but that is just a personal preference.
Still need to build Adun. Not sure I would really be able to though.
Merieke is also like a quarter I think.

When it comes to control, you can go for a more synergistic build involving some commander that does some controlling, a commander that has an ability to keep your hand full, or a commander with a game breaking ability (used as a bomb).
I recently built Medomai the Ageless control, and it's working pretty great.

Damia, Sage of Stone is what I play" the extra draw is awesome. And so are the colors she's in.

I have a mono red control deck that has been fairly consistent in victories at fnm (mainly cause it's unexpected) with Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs
