Best Black Commander

I'm planning on making a Casual Multiplayer Mono Black commander deck and I was wondering what you guys think is the best general. I was thinking either Erebos, God of the Dead or Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief. Erebos is card draw in the command zone but I'm already planning on running a lot of card draw in the deck. Drana is removal and a wincon with commander damage but I'm not sure I want to spend an entire turn getting rid of one creature. Another general I was looking at was Razaketh, the Foulblooded but I don't like using tutors because I feel it makes game really linear and the same. However, it can help me get out of a tricky situation and find a finisher when the games gone too long. Anyways, what do you guys think?

Build drana right and you will have tons more mana than you know what to do with. Nirkana Revenant, Magus of the Coffers, Caged Sun, Crypt Ghast, Liliana of the Dark Realms, Gauntlet of Power, Extraplanar Lens, Doubling Cube, Black Market, Cabal Coffers, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Crypt of Agadeem, Vesuva. I think that is most of the big ones. You don't need all of these btw, I'm just listing options. Though I wouldn't build drana without Liliana of the Dark Realms. It is just too good to have both. On top of all that you are playing black and eldrazi die to Tragic Slips all the time. If that is looking too expensive there are plenty of cheaper options but those can also easily be the only expensive cards in the deck. Everything else could be really cheap and it will still be a good deck.

My Favorite casual black Commander is Phage the Untouchable, but in all seriousness, I thoroughly enjoy playing Gonti, Lord of Luxury just kill and reanimate/cast as many times as you can and get as many triggers as possible to steal your opponents best cards. Its always a lot of fun when it goes off

I've made a deck based on Volrath the Fallen and this is the list, if you want to check it out: Volrath 1vs1 *Leviathan*
It's a voltron deck, so you put all your effort in doing general damage: Volrath's ability, lots of big fatties to discard (by discarding Draco it's a 1-attack-kill), some recursion (Phyrexian Reclamation, Shadow of the Grave, Sheoldred, Whispering One), some removal, 1 or 2 board wipes and a lot of evasion (equipments for haste, hexproof/shroud, trample, unblockable, protection)

Toshiro Umezawa is an amazing mono-black commander - play politics to keep people attacking each other rather than you, spend your kill spells wisely, and then finish the game with a huge Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire. My deck here has primer if you're interested:

Serial Killer [Primer Included]

I do agree with Mikeyel16, Gonti, Lord of Luxury is just a blast to play!

Every match is different, because the usual deck relies so heavily on enemy decks. Plus, the deck scales amazingly. If you're up against cutthroat decks you'll be able to smash face with all the juice you've exiled. If you're up against more casual decks you'll be able to somewhat chill, do the usual mono- control stuff and look for high up the curve bombs in your enemies' decks.

And as always Exsanguinate, Torment of Hailfire or Gray Merchant of Asphodel with Conjurer's Closet and reanimation durdle will get you enough mileage if you're looking for win cons.

Feel free to check out the deck i came up with (within my meta restrictions - no Mana Crypt, no Sol Ring, no infinites, no MLD):

You do have chainer or xiao dun for fun shenanigans. xiao dun might not work since you seem to want to avoid combos and tutors so I guess voltron might be up (horsemanship helps on that front). Chainer on the other hand is a simple reanimator general that works pretty well as creature control or goodstuff.

I think Chainer is a fine commander, but he can be really spikey/combo oriented if youre playing him correctly, if you're especially wanting to avoid being a target at the table, you wouldn't want to play him, you might not be playing the combo build of the deck, but commander players just assume from the moment you present the General

I cant deny that. The moment someone pulls out brago, people see threat. The minute people see most FC generals, they assume FC. The moment they see azami, they assume threat. Regardless of truth value. Commander (unless spike commander) should be based on what general you like. I gave my opinion purely based on prompt. If he ignores me, I just really dont care.
