My girlfriend finally decided on this commander, she wants to play 1v1 edh but also do edh 2HG with me, overall its a pillowfort deck but what are some strategies she needs to look for playing 1v1 and 2hg, since I cant think of any win cons except the life win cards. In 2hg I will be using Kaalia of the Vast.

You could always go combo.

My Favorite Angus card is Helix Pinnacle, It's hard to remove and pretty fun to play with as well as having good art.

Also It can be an easy win with Argothian Elder + Maze of Ith to make infinite mana or any of the other various Infinite mana combos such as Deadeye Navigator and Palinchron.

With a pillow fort deck I would typically go for the combo kill. However, since many play groups discourage combo there are a few other options:

Bounce/Flicker strategies fits into Bant colours. Win with superior card value.

You could focus on mana ramp and win through decking the opponent with a massive Blue Sun's Zenith and/or Helix Pinnacle like PutridLeech suggested.

You could just aim to steal all the opponents stuff with cards like Treachery, Sower of Temptation, Aura Thief + Enchanted Evening, etc.

There is the token swarm option. Just use Angus to buy time while you fill your side of the board with tokens.

Or go with Bant Good Stuff and fill the deck with the best cards you can get your hands on.

there is a guy we play with who runs Helix Pinnacle and as soon as it drops it paints a pretty big target on his back. Granted he runs it with Kruphix and Prophet, but, not many people like having a clock put on the game.

If you don't intend to combo out, I would say it would be best to build the deck with at least some offense in mind. Something that seems harmless enough - like an elf sub theme for mana - becomes a threat when she drops something like Ezuri, Renegade Leader.

The problem with most Angus Mackenzie decks you will find online is that they play oppression style, making people draw-out their deck (which not only takes forever, but is not as likely to win in multiplayer games). While it might work in her 1v1's, you might find yourself at a disadvantage as a team against an aggressive 2HG team.

Another common build with Angus Mackenzie is a deck with ways to combo out that usually involve going infinite. If she is comfortable with that, it is easy enough in her colors. Infinite mana, creatures, and +1/+1 counters are abundant in green, white, and blue.

You could also play him with blue / white Merfolk support, which is perfect for pillow fort decks.

If you only run blue white, arent you losing all that ramp that green offers? Also thanks everyone, giving me great ideas for this deck.
