Working on a Jund Control Deck... stuck at part 1

Commander Deck Help forum

Hello!

So my latest project is a Jund Control deck but I'm having trouble selecting a commander. Xira Arien looks appealing for the most part, CA, politics, blocker for evasive fliers, etc.. that and she's a rare find to find in your commander game.

I've also considered Kresh the Bloodbraided and Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper. Both are a Staxy kinda deck and seem interesting, but they seem pretty linear and I'm unsure if I want that.

What I want is a fun deck I can change when getting bored. Thoughts?

Sek'Kuar is a great stax/combo deck that is fun because you can change up your kill button when you get bored. Tired of playing hermit druid/nooze switch to Worldgorger combo or redcap+Melira. My dude Sek'Kuar is fun and not being committed to a specific strategy makes your deck unpredictable. That's my vote at least.

Sek'kuar is pretty cool, I was starting to throw this together around a week or two ago The Advantages Of Dying just to see what could be. Obviously not complete but there are a lot of really neat things going on in it. Emrakul's Evangel with a Grave Pact is totally nuts and really harsh. The colors just do such a good job working with death. The amount of synergy available could leave you tinkering with it for a long time to come.

Perhaps a bit slower but Shattergang Brothers is worth looking at too. He basically goes into the same deck but wants more variety with the inclusion of say Tamiyo's Journal. Very controlling once he is online but pretty slow to set up. At a certain point you just tell people what to sacrifice to your ability because you have so much more than they do you can keep activating him until what you want gone is gone. Allows some interesting politics to keep the game going too.

I play a Shattergang Brothers list and I really enjoy it. The attrition gameplan is fun and interactive, and allows for board states to not get out of control too quickly. I would 100% recommend.
