I'm looking for Commanders that have strange, but fun abilities that would work as commanders. Can range anywhere from Voltron to ramp or whatever. Any color too! Just wanting to see what you guys would recommend.

Jalira, Master Polymorphist. I built a deck with her yesterday, and its loads of fun.

"For my next trick, watch as I turn this Storm Crow into a... Platinum Emperion! "

Oh gosh! I love that! I'm already in good with sacrifice decks, so I think that Jalira, Master Polymorphist would be perfect! Thanks Crayfish

Phelddagrif is a fun group hug commander

Norin the Wary can be pretty broken if you play him right

Nebuchadnezzar's Mill Mania! is a deck I designed today using Nebuchadnezzar 's ability becomes pretty funny when you target the right thing (basic lands)

Melek, Izzet Paragon can be crazy if you have the right cards

Ulasht, the Hate Seed can get HUGE.

Those are some commanders I really think are fun, and there are a few more I can think of if you are interested in hearing them.

P.S Maybe not practical, but you can make him work, you've just got to love Squee, Goblin Nabob

Ben-Ben, Akki Hermit. Play him, and I guarantee everyone else will scoop. ;)

I always thought that Grenzo, Dungeon Warden could be very fun and different if built right. Haven't found the time yet to try him out though.

NoNeedToBragoBoutItThat could be a pretty interesting commander, you'd need to focus on buffing him up with equipment and auras, but it could make for a fun game for sure.

I'm going to list my favourite underrated commanders, along with a decklist that I made for each of them. All of them are $100 or below, with a lot of them being around $60 or below if you're interested in a frame

Thelon of Havenwood makes a pretty fun fungus deck (here's my budget list if you were interested Thelon the Felon - Saproling EDH for $40)

Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker is really interesting and can make a very powerful deck (Or you could just make a Shadowborn Apostle deck lol, decklist here: With Low Power Comes Little Responsibility - $30)

Rasputin Dreamweaver has really interesting interactions with flicker effects, essentially becoming an awesome mana dork, he's usually fun to make semi-control decks around, that is if you're alright with spending the money to get him as your general (Ra Ra Rasputin - Flickering Mana Dork EDH, around $130 so kind of above budget, but venser is optional and Rasputin is around $30 so there wasn't much I could do about that)

Experiment Kraj is really interesting, it can make some awesome infinite combo decks, but you can still make some sweet decks with him without using infinite combos (Infinite Combos in EDH - Experiment Kraj Budget, around $70, if you want to take out the infinite combos you can just replace the mana dorks that produce more than one mana)

Chisei, Heart of Oceans is a lot of fun to build around since you are able to use cumulative upkeep effects that are usually useless. It is hard to make a deck based around it that isn't too control-heavy, being mono-blue and using cards that are meant to have an expiration date, but it is fun nonetheless (Un-Cumulative Upkeep - Chisei EDH, around $60 if you take out the snow-covered lands)

Patron of the Moon makes for an awesome landfall deck, plus it gives you a good reason to actually use moonfolk (which you really don't see often lol, Moonfolk Tribal for ~$50 - Moon Men in EDH, around $60)

Rosheen Meanderer is really fun to play around, getting huge hydras and dealing loads of damage around the board. You might get hated on a bit once you get your first 15/15 hydra out, but it is still very satisfying. (X Cost Control in EDH - Rosheen Budget, around $70)

Ruhan of the Fomori isn't exactly the most fun as an aggro deck, but the "random" aspect is a great theme to work around. I decided to make a Ruhan deck that mainly focused on flipping as many coins as possible, and it is very fun to play (Coin Flippin' with Ruhan - Randomness in EDH, around $80)

And last, but certainly not least, Phelddagrif. This purple hippo makes amazing political decks, and if you play it right you will have a very good shot at winning as well. The idea is that you play mass ramp spells that get everyone mana, and artifacts/enchantments that let everyone get extra cards, and then later on in the game use one of your "group hug" cards (Skyscribing for example) to finish off the last player. I like having a chance at winning, but it is also very possible to make a 'griff deck that has zero win conditions. I honestly think that is a better way to play it, but I can't resist having a few win cons (How to Have Fun in EDH - Phelddagrif Surprise, around $100, currently the second highest-rated phelddagrif deck :D)

Anyways, I hope that helped in some way. I hope you find your favourite weird commander!
