Pir Unconventional Counters

Working on an EDH deck with Pir, Imaginative Rascal that is mostly 1/1 counters, but I'd like to have a few options for unconventional counters that he can effect like charge counters or the verse counters on Midsummer Revel . Any ideas?
I am using Toothy as well. I have Helix Pinnicle in there. I found Serrated Arrows to distribute some -1 counters with the proliferate in the deck, and I'm going to try Mind Unbound .

Gilder Bairn could be a good addition if you can find a good way to tap him so you can use his ability.
Clockspinning with the buyback could be good to put a counter on.
Some of the good proliferate stuff would probably be Karn's Bastion , Inexorable Tide , Evolution Sage , and Flux Channeler

Two alternate wincons you could use are Helix Pinnacle and Darksteel Reactor , though the latter is still very slow even coupled with Pir, Imaginative Rascal . Are you using Toothy, Imaginary Friend as well or keeping things mono-green?
