Non-Storm based wincons for Izzet EDH?
Commander Deck Help forum

So of my 5 person EDH group, I pulled the Izzet straw for the upcoming C15 set. Which means I will likely be using Mizzix of the Izmagus as my new commander-
My Playgroup looks down on infinite combos and storm in general, so what cards can I use to win with this guy?
Insurrection and Clone Legion seem like good choices. Anything else?
Those are incremental, but can combo if needed.
Psychic Spiral because if you didn't draw your whole deck in a deck running mostly lands and non-perms, you probably did something wrong.

So what about Eye of the Storm with Wheel of Fortune and Laboratory Maniac? Mind's Desire is a storm card but can win games with this combo, but it can be used with your own discretion since storm is frowned upon.
As a side note, I have won multiple games with the above combo with my Melek Chaos deck, so I can attest that it works.

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Stroke of Genius. Each experience counter allows for one more free card off Stroke.

LIVING LORE!!!!! <-(seriously, this card is hilarious in my izzet deck and would be outrageous in a deck focused around expensive cards)
Big X spells could work. Off the top of my head I like Epic Experiment the most, but you could also go for straight damage (eg Mindswipe, Crater's Claws, Banefire), card advantage (eg Stroke of Genius, Commune with Lava, Braingeyser), or both (Invoke the Firemind).
I second Sphinx-Bone Wand (that card is amazing) and I also like Clone Legion and Insurrection.
Also, I think that he and Melek would be great pals (Melek can help provide gas in the late game and amplify the izzet shenanigans).

Just remembered, Volcanic Vision would be fun too (though not a win con)

magicevan11's working on a Mizzix deck over at Mizzix up in yo Bizzix (New Commander Brew). I think it's definitely worth a look.

Izzet without infinite combos? That's... wow, that's rough dude. That would be like playing Golgari without any graveyard interaction. Maybe just a really big combo into the aforementioned Epic Experiment?
How absurd can you get in your playgroup before they become upset?
