Non-Black Aristocrats/Sacrifice

Commander Deck Help forum

I was considering off-meta and unusual deck ideas and really like Aristocrats-style sacrifice decks, so I figured I'd examine a deck that doesn't use black. Since the color is so inherently necessary to the archetype, what ways of building Aristocrats in EDH without using black would y'all use?

I'm especially considering using Prime Speaker Vannifar as the head of a Simic Aristocrats list, but other colors (like WR, for Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero ) are also in consideration. Thanks!

Red has a lot of token generation fodder with things like Dragon Fodder , Empty the Warrens , Siege-Gang Commander and the like to give you a lot of bodies on board for sac outlets. Red also has two great free sac outlets in the forms of Greater Gargadon and Goblin Bombardment whixh along with classic colorless sac outlets like the three altars (Phyrexian, ashnod's, and of Dementia) offer red a good amount of aristocrat tools

Second crash328, Red could be fun for this. Pashalik Mons I could see getting out of hand fast. Possibly Iizuka the Ruthless .

There's plenty of blue where you could possibly do something similiar with artifacts but I'd be curious what could be done with Jalira, Master Polymorphist with this theme. Maybe Thromok the Insatiable

I would 100% percent go with Krenko, Mob Boss . Pretty fast, features nice combos and damage out of nowhere. You protect and maybe give haste to Krenko with stuff like Mass Hysteria , then make some gobs. Once you have a somewhat critical mass of goblins you can drop them in a Goblin Bombardment or play a Burn at the Stake . Makes an infinite combo with Thornbite Staff for infinite goblins, and usually infinite damage.

I'm not exactly sure how this would work out, but both Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle and Yomiji, Who Bars the Way might be decent aristocrats commanders.

I agree that red is probably going to be the easiest way to go outside of black, and the goblins would be the way to go. They just seem to readily offer up ways to kill themselves, and they can multiply like rabbits, making it easy to maintain a board state. You can splash in the artifact sac outlets like Ashnod's Altar , Phyrexian Altar , Altar of Dementia , and red ones like Goblin Bombardment and Purphoros, God of the Forge .

I am playing a Prime Speaker Vannifar deck, and I cant recomend her for aristocrats. U want to make a chain to get to either a combo or one or two big hitters. Goblins can be really fun.

Firstly, you'll get way more respect running Boros than Simic. Secondly, I'm building Gerrard right now, and it's actually pretty insane what you can do when you know everything can come back. I put in Spitemare , Boros Reckoner , Spiteful Sliver , Truefire Captain , Mogg Maniac , Stuffy Doll , and Coalhauler Swine , along with stuff like Star of Extinction , Chain Reaction , Gideon's Sacrifice , and Master Warcraft to just burn everyone to kingdom come. You can also annihilate the world with Razia's Purification , Cataclysm , etc, knowing that your mana rocks will come back. Also, there's weird interactions when you bring back certain things. For example, Scroll of Fate essentially becomes a repeatable Summoner's Egg , and Scourglass becomes a repeatable wrath.
