New deck commander?

I have constructed my new deck; Nibsey's Rat-Festation, which is obviously a rat deck.
I would like your advice on who should command my rat hordes, please?
An obvious choice is Marrow-Gnawer and he was my first choice too, until I considered the benefits off Mikaeus, the Unhallowed.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed all non-humans you control get +1/+1 and gain Undying, with a CMC of 3
Marrow-Gnawer All rats you control have fear, with a CMC of 3
Or you could suggest a commander I haven't yet considered?

I use Mikaeus, the Unhallowed in my Nibsey's Sacrifice and Recycle deck... and the Triskelion combo did come out!

use Marrow-Gnawer, he goes infinite easy off of Thornbite Staff. if you wanted you could just go Thrumming Stone and like 30 Pack Rats but meh

how about Chainer, Dementia Master. reanimate your rats or grab a handful of infinits. rats+reanimator works. ink eyes is a rat commander so there's that

yeah unfortunately there are a ton of grave wipes being run at the moment that makes reanimator kinda difficult to pull off. Seeing as this mono black doesnt have many ways of getting rid of enchantments like leyline of the void or rest in piece, going reanimator is really risky

nevi's disk, lux cannon, o stone, ratchet bomb for 3, spine of ish sah, steel helkite, ulamog, universal solvent. Theres many ways to hit leyline and rip. honestly its worth it sometimes.

in my experience black tends to have issues if it isn't running a color to deal with enchantments. Those solutions you mentioned do work... but for their cost/time needed to use them they are typically inefficient and only work after the fact

huh. In my experience in both cEDH and casual, spine, ulamog, nevi and o stone have all been decent and fairly well recieved. Yes, multi color is often better for black but each color (even colorless) has its shortcomings.

I already use Nev' disk and Darksteel Forge combo in my Nibsey's Fire and Clay deck, which does not make me popular! So i have played the combo a few times...and love it!
Enchantments are a problem for black, but there are cards in black to remove permanents, just need to keep them in your hand until they are really needed.

Following my last comment and for clarity; there are cards available to a mono black decks that remove/destroy opponents permanents, for example, I have Argentum Armor in my Rats deck sideboard.

For the sake of variety and to inspire different discussions, I'll submit Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. He grants you access to green and all the goodies it comes with, of which Doubling Chant and Bloodbond March are particularly noteworthy in such builds (they're garbage most other places). He also gives you a means of victory without neccessitating an attack. You could run a different G/B general as well if you'd prefer, perhaps Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper or the like.

Who would you suggest partners Ikra? Or would you leave him to command alone?

For this deck? I suppose Tymna the Weaver or Ravos, Soultender could synergize mildly with the theme, but I don't believe that another partner is wholly necessary. I'd look into what the other colors offer (whether there's some sweet card/s that you're itching to add) to decide if a partner yields enough incentive to add another color.

Ravos, Soultender wouldn't look out of place, as like many of the creatures and artifacts in the deck, gives +1/+1 to all other creatures.

You could use Sheoldred, Whispering One? uh.. If you want a lower cost Drana, Liberator of Malakir? Tho Mikey boy has a built in win con by tossing in Triskelion, though not a rat, it is an insta-win button.
