Heya forum users. Im new to the site and not real sure on how to post my deck, but Id really like some help with my Gitrog edh deck. I play in a semi competitive play group and would really like to make my deck run a bit more consistent. Problem is I dont really know how to make it more competitive without going full combo and thats something that I dont really wanna do. Budget isnt crazy but ive most the duals and missing my cradle. If anyone would love to help with a lands matter deck that just plays lands with some combo involved Id really love to see yalls thoughts til i can get my deck on here for anyone to critique. Thanks again before hand and hope to talk to some of yall real soon.

So I'm guessing this is your deck:

First things first, you should put the cards from your list into the actual deck section of the deckbuilder, not the description section. Secondly, have a look at the formatting tips section which will explain how to use TappedOut's markdown syntax.

You can post deck links in the deck help forums. The point of them is so that people can ask for help on their decks. Where the admins prefer you don't post deck links is in the straight format forum, as they are for the discussion of the format as a whole. Not to drum up views on personal decks. You can link a deck by enclosing the slug (the part between the last two back slashes. In the case of your deck it is new-gitrog-edh) in double brackets. For the larger link, like I used, it was deck-large:new-gitrog-edh enclosed in double brackets.

Gitrog is a combo competitive commander lol, no way to build it any other way, if you do it’s going to be extremely underwhelming

How good are you at tuning stuff down? Because the option I would take if I were you is to take one of the competitive lists with a primer. Play it a bit on untap.in or something so that you get a good feel for how it operates. And then just start cutting expensive cards (that are not core to the strategy) and replacing them with cheaper cards that either fill the same role, just less efficiently, or that allow you to survive for a couple of extra turns.

Im really just missing the mana crypt, mox diamond, and grim monolith on most lists. Think I could get away with golgari signet, chrome mox, and mana vault. along with sol ring. Need to figure out what dorks i want and dark rit/cabal rit too. Then cut all the fun cards for the combo nonsense.
