Moving Forward with Eldrazi
Commander Deck Help forum

Right now, someone in my playgroup is playing an eldrzi tribal deck that he found on tappedout with some minor changes, but it really cannot compete with any deck in our group. Moving forward, he would like to update it to have less small creatures and more/mostly big creatures or game-changing permanents that he can usethings like Planar Bridge to cheat into play. My question is, what creatures are available in U/B (including colorless) that can absolutely smash face? As well as that, what options are there that are at least reasonably priced to A) tutor up the "cheaters" and B) tutor up wincons that get cheated into play. Also keep in mind that my playgroup doesn't play with a ban list so things like Griselbrand and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn are available (but out of budget). The decklist is here

Just make sure that if they're going to butcher the deck's curve by adding a bunch of big beaters that they increase the deck's ramp. Otherwise they'll run into the issue of not being able to cast stuff.

Pieguy396: Thank you for the suggestions!
enpc: First on the list of additions is better ramp in artifacts and artifact tutors so that I always have mana to activate
Planar Bridge
and such, but I feel much more confident in my ability to find upgrades there than I do in my ability to find big fun timmy creatures.

You want to not have to rely on cards like Planar Bridge to make the deck playable. Also means you can play Endless One , Desolation Twin , Artisan of Kozilek and Conduit of Ruin .
Also, Deceiver of Form is fun.

enpc: personally my friend is drawn to cards like planar bridge because they look super sick and have cool art, and since this is commander with multiple people playing imma keep Planar Bridge in but I totally get what you’re saying about not building the deck around it, hence I’ll take a more ramp-focused approach. Thank you for the cool Eldrazi suggestions!!!

No problem. And I'm not saying don't run it. But it's just that you don't want the whole playability of the deck to hinge on it. But you seem all over it.

Not sure how well a pure colorless eldrazi deck would do in your meta but I have a deck that might be of use: Eldrazi EDH... wait what?! Good luck!

I mean Inkwell Leviathan generally does a pretty good job of smashing face while being slightly difficult to deal with. Lord of the Void is also fun, as is Mindleech Mass .
