Hey all,

So with the Leak I've been brewing up a mono black control list (not yet on the site) and I was wondering as I fill out the staples what should I go?

Here are the links to the 4 commanders, **_

My favorite is Torgaar since he just works well with black in general. The deck almost builds itself, which could be good or bad depending on how you view it. Throw in a bunch of black tokens and follow it up with Grave Pact effects. I think if done right he will always cost

He has the added bonus of setting life totals to 20 (in commander). This means you can bring yourself back up to 20 from say 5 or 10 or some other really low number or drop someone down from 40 or 30 just for casting him is a great thing. Even keep someone else alive if that floats your boat.

I would likely include a bunch of sac outlets too so that I can get him back to the command zone when I want for another cast. Something like Vedalken Orrery would be a good addition.

Oooh I like that idea. Would you think you'd run maybe an aristocrats deck around him? It could get some good power.

If I do end up building aristocrats though the new Elder Demon kinda wins Flavor wise XD. A giant demon sacrificing to his (Hers? Its?) hearts content sounds very good lol.

Whisper seems like the most combo heavy/infinite which I don't particularly like so I may have to pass on him or just build him as a 50% deck, while the Specter would be specter/discard tribal (of course)and sounds interesting. Also having an uncommon (what rarity it's thought to be ) commander sounds really original and I like the idea.

Personally I really like Whisper, Blood Liturgist. It's almost a legenday Champion of Stray Souls, which is one of my favorite cards of all time.
