Mono Green Storm-possible?

Commander Deck Help forum

I'm trying to build an Azusa, Lost but Seeking storm deck with Aetherflux Reservoir as the win con and I'm running into some problems with the draw engine. I need big power creatures for the majority of the draw spells (ex. Rishkar's Expertise) but i want to cast enough spells to kill a table of 3 opponents. Any help would be appreciated!

If you want to win with Aetherflux Reservoir, I would say Selvala, Heart of the Wilds is your best bet. She also gets stronger with higher power creatures. On top of multiple ways for creature untapping in green, she draws you a card if you own the largest.

Either way, I would look for creatures like Thragtusk that help gain some flat hp.

Cards like Soul of the Harvest are going to be your friend here. You want to use lots of mana works to get your storm count up.

I know your commander is Azusa, but at the moment you have too many lands. Playing a land may draw you a card off Horn of Greed but it does nothing for you storm count, which is the crucial part here.

Additionally, Thousand-Year Elixir will help your Arbor Elfs and ilk to be "free" spells that increase your storm count.

Small creatures + Paradox Engine + Glimpse of Nature or Lifecrafter's Bestiary seems to be the way to go for me.

Yes. Glimpse of Nature+Temur Sabertooth+Paradox Engine+3 mana dorks. Elves have a lot of infinites so you could run that route.

While not winning the way you want, here's a competitive mono green storm with selvala at the helm. Hopefully this can give you ideas. Selvala Brostorm
