Mana doublers

Commander Deck Help forum

I am looking for the best option for a mana doubler in my deck. Preferably one that is easy to tutor, since I play this toolbox type of deck. What would be the best possible option for my deck?

Captain Sisay has the answers... (EDH / Commander)

Thanks for any help, appreciated!

If you want to utilize your commander as a tutor for the mana doubler, the easiest would probably be adding Skyship Weatherlight in the deck and then getting either an artifact doubler directly (like Doubling Cube or Caged Sun) or doing one more tutor step and getting a creature that tutors for enchantments (like Academy Rector) into Mana Reflection.

You can tutor for Mirari's Wake with Enlightened Tutor and Idyllic Tutor

Also Mana Reflection, Zendikar Resurgent, and Land Tax is good if you get behind

(I haven't looked at your deck yet so you may already have some of these cards)

Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger is awesome, though on the costly side

Simple answer, you don't want one. Not only are they fragile but slow. You're much better off just having a strong ramp suite. It's the exact same argument for why you cut Elvish Piper (which would feel more at home even now than any mana doubler).

Boundless Realms also gives you a harder to remove source of mana because it just puts out lots of basics.

Sissay shouldn't need a mana doubler. There's really no no need for you to hit 10+ mana on a regular basis.

Exactly the argument I was about to make. With the ability to easily tutor something like Gaea's Cradle and with Sissay's ability only requiring you to tap her you can search out anything you need at the time for the amount of mana you have. Vorinclex is nice and dont forgtet Patron of the Orochi. Hes a bit expensive however he does let you untap sissay every turn as well as your forests and duals. You also run enough green creatures that Yeva, Nature's Herald should be included.

The initial ramp that I am running now is just sweet, but I love to get my eldrazi in play asap. I don't like to fetch a land with Sisay as it takes away an option to get something troubling for my oppenent. I want to keep the pace up and keep 'stressing' my opponent.

You really only need Kozilek. I'd honestly ditch both ulamogs. Sissay's less beatdown and more toolbox.

It seems a doublers is pretty tough to find using Sisay. Too much hassle to tutor one and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger is too mana hefty :/

I am sure that it's better to get my ramp more in shape. Thanks for all the advise and nice comments! I always prefer good comments and many of you helped me greatly!

Appreciated!
