Looking for changes, not just upgrades

So my Out of my way, butt kicking time! deck works great, and I know I can upgrade creatures to things like the titans and whatnot. I'm looking for other changes to make instead of just creature upgrades. Replacing an Eldrazi with a a bigger, more badass titan version is great, and I will over time as they can be pricey, but more like say replacing a creature with one with ninjutsu to change HOW it's played and interacts. And I'd like to work on my non-creature cards (I already know I need a few rocks, for example). Any ideas of a mechanic shifts I should look into that will work with this deck meta?

Sticking with the flavor. Lands are the first thing I would change. Eye of Ugin, Command Tower, Eldrazi Temple are easy includes. All Is Dust acts as one sided board wipe if you have problems with your opponents going wide. Solemn Simulacrum is a pretty easy include.
There's a lot of EDH staples that you could include but it seems like you're going for a certain theme.
