Commander Deck Help forum

I'm tunning this deck: Yennett of the Odd Fate

~And so far it's giving me a lot of good "oh, crap" and "oh, snap" moments from my opponents, a lot of fun with a pretty uncommon comander (at least in my surroundings).

There's a lot i would love to have in my card pool, so i'm looking for some advices or some new perspectives.

Note: There's only one combo, and even with that i don't want to use combos in my deck.

Isochron Scepter + Mystical Tutor : looking for Nexus of Fate

Well if Mystical Tutor to Nexus of Fate is one of your combos Merchant Scroll will do the same thing. One card I think does not get enough attention that could be good in this deck is Soothsaying since it works in a similar way to Sensei's Divining Top but is cheaper to buy and can dig a little deeper.

Soothsaying could be really good especially if you are going for a win with Approach of the Second Sun since it could just dig into the deck pretty far. I was thinking Hour of Revelation may be a better board wipe card for the deck since it can end up with a discounted cost on its own.

Thank you Joe_Ken_!!!, as you said Merchant Scroll is able to search Nexus of Fate indeed, but this will be in my hand, and with this commander you need it in the top of your library befores she attack,

About Soothsaying it was already considered, but it turns out to be too expensive in the long run, the only way to make it work is paying at least for in order to swap both bards if needed, but as you said it could be a good idea with Approach of the Second Sun , usually what i do it's manipulate the top with Approach of the Second Sun , with Doom Whisperer and Sensei's Divining Top in the field and then Pay 6 Life (even with 1 life total this will works since you gain 7 lifes) and use the top to take Approach of the Second Sun .

Hour of Revelation it's a very good option since takes out everything in the board, and usually it's what we really want. (i'm thinking in this deck as a Tempo/Beater/Control)

Fun commander choice. I love the include of In Garruk's Wake just for the fun of top decking it when Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign attacks. You've hit on a majority of the cards I'd want to include. I actually want to build this deck now :D. What about Time Warp or Clone Legion ? Clone Legion would be pretty hilarious to flip with Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign .
