Let me pick your brains about an EDH idea I have. (CARD SUGGESTIONS)

Commander Deck Help forum

Short background info. I am one of the best players in my meta and people are getting tired of it claiming my decks are to strong for the meta. Which IS NOT TRUE. What makes my decks appear to be so much strong is they are very heavy interaction based. I like having lots to do and lots of options with no goal in mind. Which makes it look like I'm going crazy but its just my play style. I tend to stay away from decks where I have a goal I'm trying to achieve and much rather play something fluid.

So the idea is Zedruu "targeted hug". In other words there are plenty of group hug decks out there. The deck I want to build is "Zedruu the kingmaker". The only "win-con" in the deck will be a mindslaver lock on one opponent with the flavor of here let me play your deck better than you, or I choose the winner of the game will also be considered "winning" for this deck. The part I need help on is finding cards that are targeted hug not group hug. Group being temple bell etc. Zedruu will help this alot as I can give away permanents.

Targeted extra turn stuff will help. Sadly the only example I can think of is a bit of a pricey one (Time Vault).

Well, Time Warp is targeted...

I have seen Redirect and Misdirection do fun things with this card.

You could play the "Screw Multiplayer, 1 v 1 Me, Mate" game by Cloneing a Lighthouse Chronologist, max leveling both, and using Zedruu to Donate one to another player. No one else gets a turn and you can just sit back while the other guy wipes everyone out. Tada?

we can start off with Intellectual Offering, Volcanic Offering and Benevolent Offering because they benefit you and target opponent. same with Armistice.

Blessed Reincarnation could technically be targeted hug as the odds of getting something better are high in edh.

Forbidden Orchard shows that targeted hug cards will just be those that can target an opponent. on that note Coalition Flag is an interesting card as are cards like Encircling Fissure..

for more active targeted hug, there is Guild Feud, Soltari Guerrillas, Cultural Exchange, Switcheroo because targeted hug is just hate towards others.

Quick gatherer search also adds the below for targeted extra turn spells:

Also as a side note Timesifter? May be too chaos-y for you but the implications are hilarious.

Knowledge Pool, Eye of the Storm or similar might do you well.

If you're gonna play Knowledge Pool, Donate a Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir first. It creates a hard lock on everyone that doesn't have Teferi. Be warned, if two players have Teferi, blow up one first or it creates a hard lock on everyone.

Donating an Archetype of Imagination and playing a Stormtide Leviathan is a good way to lock everyone else out of combat (very few people are going to have any other Islandwalk creatures and if they do, they'll likely be the first person taken out, or you just remove those creatures).

A fun one might be to steal that player's creatures and permanents and then use Donate to give Zedruu to them, also known as the "Here, you tell me how to do it" gambit.

Of course, the simplest route could be the most fun. Just give them a Laboratory Maniac and proceed to make them draw their deck.
