I've decided that raganov is the coolest card to exist in magic, and its time to make a pirate themed edh deck around kari. ive already got all the steal effects (acts of treason and the like) because pirates steal stuff. what else is mono red pirate themed?
effects like looting, menace, literal menace (like Browbeat), some land hate with cool names, ship like vehicles, some equipment, some bottles ( Elixir of Immortality ), an Expedition Map some precious gems Fire Diamond. If this deck ends up being not so great, make a Izzet one with a lot of cool islands and Coastal Piracy with Jori En, Ruin Diver as the commander.

Explorer's Scopeis another. If you got valukat you could do landfall triggers to help supplement you damage.

Remember that Kari is a sky pirate, so flying vehicles will work wonders. Also her expertise.

I'd check out the human rogues, some of the old ones like Aladdin are really cool and should fit.
