is casual Kess a thing?

Ok, I'm calling uncle on my Kess deck and looking for help. First thing: I don't play cEDH and I'm not looking to start. I do play in some fast, high-powered games, however, so I built this to be a 9-power version of storm / consultation Kess, and... it just isn't fun to play.
I have other commanders for high-power games, but I like spellslinger decks and I'd like to keep playing her. Are there other Kess builds that are ~ 75% decks? Builds that take advantage of her ability but aren't just trying to combo off as fast as possible? Any suggestions for something that's fun?
I've not actually seen a Kess deck in the wild so I can't say what the power level of any of my suggestions will be but they are certainly not cEDH level.
Second idea is removal "tribal". Just every removal spell you can possibly include. One win-con might be Rise of the Dark Realms.
There seem like quite a few options if you take a look at the themes section on EDHrec. Her page.

Cut the consult plan and add cards like mentioned above and stuff like Aria of Flame so its more of a tempo style deck. Cards that get value from cantrips/removal or just value spells. Bonus points if you can go snow mana with Skred, Dead of Winter, Back to Basics and what ever else cares for snow basics.

DrukenReaps - thanks, this is a good thought that hadn't occurred to me. I'm running kind of a lot of token decks right now but this is going on the maybe list for sure. Seems fun. I dig 'removal tribal' but she'd have to get in line behind Teneb, the Harvester and Shattergang Brothers. I haven't checked out her EDHrec page in a while so I'll look there too.
goodair - appreciate the reply. I've considered cutting consult and emphasizing ramp and storm, but I'm intrigued by this idea of using her as a ramp+burn commander. Aria of Flame, maybe Sphinx-Bone Wand and Flux Channeler? Torment of Hailfire? Could be a lot of fun...

Sounds fun, prob wont be at the level of your current deck, but if your not enjoying the current iteration, might as well have a version that will end up playing.
