How to make room for a dragon conqueror's flail

Commander Deck Help forum

Hey all,

I'm too attached to the cards in my Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck There Be Dragons! and can't decide what to cut for the Conqueror's Flail I recently traded into. I'm fishing for suggestions from someone with fresh eyes to ease the transition.

Thanks in advance!

I am not huge on Dack Fayden in there. Not that it is a bad card, but I don't think it quite fits

I'd cut the gamble

Hour of Promise is pretty weak as far as ramp cards go. Could cut that?

Dack Fayden and Gamble are powerhouses and cedh staples for a reason. 19 sources of ramp is pretty high for this level of deck. I think Hour of Promise is slow or Restore is a bit situational.

Another potential cuts (because the deck looks like its pretty solid as it is) would be Aura Shards as you are light on creatures/tokens (hard to get a ton of mileage out of it when you have mostly fatties), Stitch Together (threshold makes it difficult to turn on early-mid game, but you should have as much reanimation as you can get so it should be replaced with Necromancy, Dance of the Dead, Reanimate, or Death.

All in all, your list is pretty well oiled and looks like a blast to play. Feel free to post on my wall whenever you need help with it! I used to run scion myself a few years back :)

thanks for the advice everyone. rockleemyhero, I took your advice and cut the Restore. Reanimate will replace Stitch Together whenever I get my hands on a copy, but as is, I don't mind waiting for the threshold till mid game when I can slip something in and peoples removal spells are already depleted.
