Help with kefnet the mindful duel commander

So I've wanted to make a deck that benefits from hand size for a while, and I do actually have a Prime Speaker Zegana deck that is close to that. However, I've concluded that making a Kefnet the Mindful deck would be a lot cheaper and more suitable for the 1v1 format. After looking for some inspiration online I found some decklists that are made mostly of defensive, bounce and counterspell cards that look cheap enough. The problem is that I don't understand exactly how those lists are supposed to win. Are you supposed to just play a creature like Kefnet the Mindful, Sturmgeist or Psychosis Crawler and then just counter/bounce everything your opponent throws at you?

That or going infinite. Mono blue isn't the worst to do so, especially in 1v1.

Mindslaver + Academy Ruins and Mind Over Matter + Temple Bell are just 2 of the many possible combos :)

Hmm, now that you mentioned infinite combos, I think that the best kind of infinite combos would be infinite mana combos. Any infinite mana combo would instantly win me the game because infinite mana would become infinite draw because of my commander and infinite draw would become instant win because of Psychosis Crawler. Do you know of any of those?

Mono blue artifacts probably hits infinite mana the fastest.

Here are a couple of my Kefnet lists. They were made to win via Commander Damage. One is for multiplayer while the other is for Leviathan.
