HELP NEEDED (5 color)

Commander Deck Help forum

In my deck Ramos and his Charms I have spell slinger and +1+1 counters based cards for my five color Ramos deck that I have been trying to perfect but with my short experience in Magic (since Fate Reforged) I just don't have the experience in commander.

My first and main issue is my creature list. I have a few creatures I feel just underperform, such as Kess, Dissident Mage, Taigam, Ojutai Master and Marchesa, the Black Rose. I am really needing ideas for multi colored replacements for these.

Another issue is that my mama base has too many colorless producing lands such as Alchemist's Refuge, Reliquary Tower and Cascading Cataracts that I'd like to replace but again I don't have the experience or knowledge of how to build commander deck mana bases.

You don't need Reliquary Tower, you don't have enough card draw to warrant it. I would replace it with Spire of Industry - it gives you colourless mana which you can cast your commander with. From there you have an artifact so you can mana fix. You should be running Birds of Paradise. I would also add Deathrite Shaman - you have enough fetches to make him work.

Deathrite sounds awesome but I dont see him being better than Kess who can allow me to recast Jund or Abzan Charm which both place 5 counters on Ramos. I do really like Deathrite though so I will look for something to replace with it.

DRS is early game ramp. For a deck with an average CMC ~3.5 you need to up your ramp package. Kess isn't bad here, I would cut Marchesa before her.

Okay, that sounds like a fine cut for DRS.
