Help Choosing a Peasant Commander

Commander Deck Help forum

Hey guys.

These are the 3 I've narrowed it down to:

Looks like a fun guy, there's a lot of uncommons and commons that would help him in a 8-rack style deck.

Technically not a legal commander but my paly group okayed him if I really want to play him. Getting access to esper might really make the deck stronger.

Totally legal, totally a finisher? I guess.

I'm new to Peasant EDH and wanna really use a legendary creature as my commander (I know I don't have to but still).

Sosuke, Son of Seshiro Snake warrior tribal.

Mono green, but very strong.

@Steelspike

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm trying to stick to one of the ones I mentioned.

You should play pauper pirate tribal Ramirez DePietro but only if you talk, behave and drink like a pirate when you play. Arrr'ight!

Otherwise I'd go with ol'Nebuchadnezzar his ability could make for some interesting gameplay and build mechanics.

Dakkon Blackblade just says Voltron which is uninteresting to me. Pauper should be about exploring new ideas since you don't have to worry about super competitive decks. (just my take on it)

If you're aiming to win I'd definitely go with Dakkon Blackblade. Esper opens you up to a lot of powerful cards, plus I think he's just better than the other two ones. Chad's just a little too slow, I feel.
