[EDH] Need suggestions for Jund Voltron list

Commander Deck Help forum

I know what you're thinking. Voltron? In Jund? Why don't you just play Voltron like everyone else with Bruna, Light of Alabaster or Uril, the Miststalker ? And I must admit, you have a fair point. It'd be a lot easier. But i'm not one to take the easy way out. Helming my prospective deck will be Prossh, Skyraider of Kher for now. This is my first Voltron list, and I'm a little lost when it comes to what to throw into this deck. Suggestions can be anything from Jund/Prossh staples to anything that could help facilitate the voltron strategy. Thanks for the suggestions, and I wish you all well.

Nah, go for the card advantage, evasive, self-pumping jund voltron commander: Korvold

I know it isn't out just yet, but it with a Rancor is just value.

Also Dockside Extortionist gives you 10 cards, 10 mana, and 10 +1/+1 counters.

I think that Prossh is better in that he comes with extra power without requiring a heavy sacrifice subtheme to get as much immediate value.

Also, I think saying Extortionist is busted with Korvold is just glossing over the fact that Extortionist is just plain nuts in EDH, period. I do want to try that, though... King Dragon will reign.

SynergyBuild: I did consider Korvold originally to helm. I might end up flip flopping between the 2 just to see which one I like better. I initially chose Prossh over Korvold since I do agree with DwaginFodder's reasoning and since he is an IRL friend of mine that I know personally. Hell, I might end up just running whichever of the 2 I don't use as commander in the 99. I'm still largely clueless as to what voltron supports to put in the deck however.

Ch0ppah Yeah, prossh is amazing in the Korvold deck, you pay 6, draw 6, and put 6 +1/+1 counters on Korvold, but the same is true the other way, so they can be really nicely switched out!
