Doubt about Jace
Commander Deck Help forum

Hi there!!! While i was building my commander deck I came across one card, as it seems to me, Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip and I saw it can be flipped into Jace, Telepath Unbound. My question is (very stupid question, sorry, I'm kinda new to MTG): can I just have Jace, Telepath Unbound and use him as my planeswalker or I must have Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip in order to use the planeswalker version?

Jace, Telepath Unbound has no mana cost and therefore cannot be cast. The only way to have him out is to have him flip from Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip, so yes, you would need to use Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip as your commander.

And just in case this isn't clear, it is just 1 card. The front face is the creature form, the backside is the planeswalker form :)

Thanks all. Panas Thanks for clarifying, I thought they were separated cards. MagicalHacker I don't use him as my commander, I have other plans for him :)

The card naturally starts, unflipped, at Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip, and when it's ability triggers, then it can flip into jace what's it called planeswalker form.
