I'd go with Naturalize or Revoke Existence or some variation thereof.

i mean, something to by-pass Contamination's ability. because using those spells needs to tap for colored mana

I mean, artifacts that tap for mana get around it pretty easily. Commander's Sphere, Gilded Lotus, Darksteel Ingot. Then you play some form of removal to get rid of it.

Play black?

I see what you're getting at - any creatures that tap for mana would also bypass the ability. If you're playing green you should have lots of options - Elvish Mystic, Birds of Paradise et al.

Meh. Most of the time, when someone casts contamination, they invite 3 others to pummel them in the face. Counterplay is diversifying your sources of mana as well as playing politics.

You aren't running mana rocks? Darksteel Ingot is a great inclusion for most EDH decks because it's color-fixing mana which survives board-wipes. Also, some artifact filtering isn't bad, such as Prophetic Prism.

Scour from Existence is great removal because it can get around most color protections, hits any permanent, and you can cast it when your color wheel is locked. Expensive, but definitely worth an eye.

Mycosynth Lattice lets you spend that black mana however you want.

I love Contamination, goes especially well with Bitterblossom. If you're not black, and you gotta deal with it, there's a few ways to do it. You could put artifacts that produce colour mana for one, that way you can just straight up cast Back to Nature or Disenchant to destroy it. Another thing you can do is destroy it with colourless spells (as we all know black has no enchantment removal). You can use Karn Liberated, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, Scour from Existence, Nevinyrral's Disk, Oblivion Stone or Perilous Vault... there should be some others you could use too. All of those colourless removal spells are a good idea to put into most commander decks (just in case) because they deal with Iona, Shield of Emeria and Blood Moon as well. I'm super glad they came out with Grip of Desolation as well, MORE COLOURLESS SPELLS WIZARDS!!!

Abolish
Reverent Silence

Or, Dream Halls... if you can get it out before Contamination is in play.

There are also a number of other cards which can be cast without mana... most don't actually 'shut-down' Contamination though... Here

Plus, as many others have pointed out, colorless is a very easy way to deal with this, and it can be used with any Commander.
