Commander Series: Did we just become best friends?

Commander Deck Help forum

Hello everyone!

I've started a new series of decks attempting to show what a deck would look like with two non-partner generals at the helm! Thematically, this hopes to show how two generals, working together, combining their strengths and covering each other's weaknesses, can lead an army more effectively together than they could have alone.

First up: the fantastic synergy between Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and The Scorpion God

All that said, I still need the help of more experienced EHD players to help me sort through all my options. Assume no budget. I'm willing to take the deck in any direction, including combo. For this deck in particular, I need to find a way to better utilize .

Thanks in advance! Please leave suggestions, upvotes, and requests for the next two generals in the series!

I have a Horobi, Death's Wail deck and an Eight-and-a-Half-Tails deck that I use for team games and it is a brutal combination. These two would be a perfect example of how partner mechanic can be degenerate. I would really appreciate your take on this couple. I'll check your current "partner" deck later. Thanks.

rob_shifflett woah! Quadruple post! Glitchy haha

Yeah that's a powerful combo in the command zone. Turn five and you can destroy any creature for 1 generic mana. Giving your guys hexproof/shroud would be the most important thing I think as Horobi can bite one in the butt at times.

Looking forward to your thoughts on mine :)

any tier 1 deck + tymna
any tier 1 deck + thrasios
Arcum + Teferi would be "fun"... Rephrase that into mix/match breya/arcum/teferi (and/or any other artifact general)
mix match any u/b/x/x storm deck
mix match u/w u/b u/x/x/x generals
mix match prossh foodchain with any general that can be recast a bunch of times

I would be down to play this.

miracleHat thanks for the suggestions!

zandl I know! Not at all what I'm doing though haha! Just building some casual decks to amuse myself more than anything.

If you'd like to take this idea and run with it for your series be my guest!

Maybe Meren of Clan Nel Toth and Daxos the Returned. Load the deck up with enchantment creatures, sac em, get a ton of experience counters. Some possibilities there.
