I had this idea. Imagine playing a game of Commander, where you have a ton of fetch cards, and nothing else but infinity combos. I really want to pull this off, but I run into two issues. 1) Who to place as my commander? and 2) Which combos would I use out of the many in magic? I have been trying to mull this concept over, but I lately have no time to even think anymore. How would I go about just starting this thing?
those are just some of my favorite, Failed to mention you need some sort of damage to deal to the first reckoner. fetches as in land are good for anything. Fetches as in tutors... Imperial Seal Liliana are a few of the best

I mean, you could look at Dominus - Dreamcrusher Edition for an example of a deck that is entirely centered around ramping into, protecting, and pulling off a combo.

Deadeye Navigator + Derevi, Empyrial Tactician + Gilded Lotus = infinite mana
Cathars' Crusade + Earthcraft + Ghave, Guru of Spores + Doubling Season/Parallel Lives = infinite counters/creatures
Master Biomancer + Progenitor Mimic + Sage of Hours + Deadeye Navigator = infinite turns
Deadeye Navigator + Sage of Hours + Sandsteppe Mastodon = infinite turns (again)
Just a few that I have in some of my decks. I might have more, but this is what I can think of right now.

... Well you've only limited it down to like... 30 possible and all equally viable commanders.
I'd suggest using Tasigur, the Golden Fang as he can help you get the combo AND is the mana dump for the combo. Basically, pack all the infinite mana combos in sultai into a deck, make infinite mana, get all the nonlands in your deck into your hand, then win via Goblin Cannon or Magma Mine.
That's the best infinite combo deck I can think of.

I prefer Sliver Queen because she only needs a two card combo to go infinite. Mana Echoes + Sliver Queen . With a proper mana pool and tutor you can pull that off turn 6-7. Plus because of every color identity you can have every single infinite combo known to the game.

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is combo-tastic. There's two-card combos you can do with him (e.g. Curiosity, or if you want to get hilariously janky Tandem Lookout). Izzet is heavily biased towards instants and sorceries and has a ton of card draw and a good amount of tutors for those types, so it could be fun.

Oona, Queen of the Fae is traditionally, in my opinion the best combo commander. Her ability alone ends games. Any source of infinite mana will do it.
Power Artifact + Basalt Monolith / Grim Monolith
Rings of Brighthearth + Basalt Monolith / Grim Monolith
Palinchron / Great Whale / Peregrine Drake + Deadeye Navigator
Deadeye Navigator + Archaeomancer / Mnemonic Wall + Any extra turn card = Infinite Turns
Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension / Duskmantle Guildmage = Infinite Damage/Mill
The list goes on. Oona is by far my fav Combo Queen

find good colors.
Bloom Tender + Freed from the Real = infinite green mana
Axebane Guardian + Freed from the Real + any defender creature = infinite any color mana
Boros Charm + 2 Boros Reckoners + Dictate of the Twin Gods = bounce damage back and forth and because they're indestructible it doesnt matter and it gets doubled every time then fire at someone
There's many more. find colors you like playing and are comfortable with. it makes commander more fun
