Budget Prossh Optimization Help

Commander Deck Help forum

My deck:

I haven't even owned a physical MTG card yet, but I'm looking to start by buying a commander deck to use at my LGS for casual commander. I had trouble choosing a commander, but I like Prossh a lot. I've completed my list but I have a huge maybeboard of cards that would be too expensive for me (I'm trying to keep the deck under $60 but I'm flexible) or might not fit well in the deck. However, I'm struggling to find a balance and I'm unsure of where the best places are where I can make cuts and improvements (especially when I don't own the physical cards or even have a playgroup yet). I'm looking for any suggestions and ideas in how I can optimize the deck, make the deck more consistent, and utilize powerful mechanics to the fullest without raising the price too high. Thank you in advance if you took the time to read this and I'm curious to hear what you all have to say!

Are you trying to go foodchain, tokens or 1 shot kills? He is very flexible to build around if your not going cedh and its best if you focus on more on 1 path!

Can’t go food chain ($50 for one card is too much for me rn). I personally feel tokens would be a better path for me, though teching in alternative strategies (such as one shot kills) might be of benefit for me, especially given my budget (no doubling season / craterhoof beheamoth / cradle)

So, it's seems like making tokens and sacrificing would be a great strategy but it needs to be focused almost exclusively on that strategy. Rhythm of the wild seems pretty bad in this deck. You need to clearly designate the categories: token generators, sac outlets, and cards that trigger when a creature dies and make sure you have enough of each category.

But yah, creating tons of tokens to then sac and trigger cards like Butcher of Malakir can be very powerful

Another thought: Prosh is a sac outlet by himself so you should be able to get away with not putting too many other sac outlets in the deck
