Best storm commander?

Commander Deck Help forum

So I fill either Grixis or Izzet is the best color scheme for a storm based deck, a heavy spell slinging deck that typically will find a fun and crazy way to combo off in one huge blast of a turn. I want to avoid extra turn BS, but infinite combos are ok [Basically if it is an easy way to win quick my group is ok, but if your taking extra turns to dig to win, that is unfun]

So what commander options do I have? I can think of only 4 that make sense:

~Mizzix of the Izmagnus: She reduces the cost of the spells, meaning more spells for less mana, but if i get a way to get infinite mana then she serves no purpose.

~Arjun, the Shifting Flame: Letting me cycle my hand with every spell, quickly drawing through my deck to find answers and storm big

~Melek, Izzet Paragon: Probably one of the original spell slinging commanders that comes to mind, saddly his copies don't add to stack, but combined with top I can look att he top three and pick the best spell to cast.

~Jhoira of the Ghitu: This is the only deck I would consider using a FEW extra turn card in, only because I would almost straight up skip those turns to burn off some suspend counters, though clock spinning also helps remove counters...anyway, i use mana to stack a ton of spells into suspend, then let them all come out at the same time to go nuts.

Also since this is a storm based deck I plan to abuse this with Possibility Storm, cast Mind's Desire from hand to let the original return to deck and still get all the storm copies :3

Anyway...suggestions? Maybe a commander I forgot, or a color that works better?

Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder or Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge are the best storm options, but I like mizzix also as a spell slinger.

If you're playing more casual or on budget, Mizzix is your best option. If you want to be more competitive, the above two are the best options.

I play Nekusar storm, works quite well...already pulled off a turn 3 win with Ad Nauseam against 4 opponents. I'd say the great aspect of Nekusar is that you can play storm but also use his draw damage with all the wheel effects, whatever works best in the given situation.

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind has a lot of potential, as his in the colors and his abilities can work well with a lot of storm combos depending on the build, plus niv mizzet himself just begs to be combo'd

Mizzix of the Izmagnus because its freaking storm, and mizzix is the 2 color Baral, Chief of Compliance.

Captain Sisay because if storm is what you want, just angle her for moxen, etc, then play Paradox Engine & let people watch as you play your entire deck... of course those are not your preferred colors/theme, but she can be ridiculously "stormy"

As mentioned, Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder is good for storm. His ability is awesome by itself and having a four colour commander gives you access to basically the best storm cards available, as well ad recursion.

Maybe I'm an outlier, but I found Mizzix to be better for Buyback cards than for Storm cards. Though you do get both with Haze of Rage. That card is nuts with Mizzix.

I'll take a look at Yidris and Jeleva, I don't see them at all in my playgroup, so pulling out a unique commander might throw them off :3

Well these days we've also got Kess, Dissident Mage to add to this mix.
