Best Colorless EDH General?

Commander Deck Help forum

I'm starting a colorless edh. For the most part I only have the land base, a couple planeswalkers, and Crucible of Worlds. I'll probably throw in an Amulet of Vigor to compensate for slow ramp in colorless, but I digress. I need help with Picking the perfect general. I like my choice but wanted further input. I currently have Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger; if there a better choice or is he gonna be ideal? I like playing aggro/control.

Here's my deck if you want to pick at my lands: Ashes to Ashes

All input is appreciated.

I would say try going Karn, Silver Golem with Mycosynth Lattice for some real control fun.

Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is a good commander for the reason that Prossh, Skyraider of Kher is a good commander. You get free stuff when you cast him which can't be stopped by counterspells. You get MORE free stuff if he gets killed because you get to cast him again. If you attack with him, the other person is most likely dead. Kozilek is good because he fills your hand and punishes your opponent whether or not they kill your commander.

I second kozilek. If you're not running an artifact combo/stax deck with Karn, Silver Golem, then kozilek is the best choice.

Either Kozilek is a better option than Ulamog. He can get kills with only two hits, rather than three. With Eldrazi Conscription he can get OHKO.

Check out my mana symbol c deck for some ideas. Planar Annihilation

You COULD go with a colorless Commander, or just use Vela the Night-Clad as your commander with colorless creatures and have everyone hate you :D

Thanks everyone for your input. And Calliber, right now I want to take on the challange of a full colorless, but I do appreciate it.

I play Kozilek, the Great Distortion to great effect. The hand-refill is relevant because lack of reliable card advantage leads to a lot of empty hands with tons of mana available. Although other Koz is always 4 so it's more reliable overall, the burst of 7 is a huge advantage. Also, the counter is very relevant when in a winning boardstate. Icing on the cake, 12/12 menace 2-hits anyone.
