Mono-Colored Singleton Ravnica Plane Constructed Tournament

Are you ready for a challenge? Of course you are! I want members of the community to build their very own Mono-Colored 40-Card Singleton Ravnica Plane Constructed decks. That was a lot of words... so, what does that mean exactly? Here are the restrictions:

  • All card in a deck must be of the same color (similar to mono-colored EDH).

  • A deck must be at least 40 cards and can have only one copy of each card excluding basic lands.

  • All cards must have been printed or reprinted during the Ravnica or Return to Ravnica block.

  • No sideboards.

Rules of Submission

  • Must be submitted before Monday 8, 2016 at 6:00 PM Central Time submissions closed.

  • The decks must have the abbreviation MCSRPC somewhere in the deck title.

  • Please set all card printings to the one that is legal in the tournament.

  • Post the deck link in comments like so: [ [deck-large:EXAMPLE] ].

  • Submission cap is 32 decks.

The Tournament

  • The tournament will be single-elimination.

  • Rounds will be best of three

  • Results will be written up before October 1st sometime. :)

  • The winner will receive exclusive bragging rights and a custom banner proclaiming their victory!

The tournament will be single elimination best of 3. I will be playing out the rounds do to a landslide in the vote. For all players still wanting to play decks, you can use this thread to organize play on Untap.in. Good luck everybody. Round 1 should be finished within 2 weeks.

So, White seems to be the most represented color while Red is the least. We will see how the color war pans out during the tourney.

I messed up a bit on the bracket, Boza will be facing TheRedMage in round one. Sorry for the mistake.

@EpicFreddi and @LordJello: Rules are similar to EDH color identity. So... colorless spells are fine and multi-colored/hybrid spells are not. Thanks everyone! Please spread the word about the challenge!

@DarksteelBadger can I include split cards with the stipulation that I am only planning to cast one half? Like Turn / Burn with no Islands in the deck?

@pinkbasil: Extort cards are legal, technically the symbol is part of the reminder text and therefore does not effect color identity.

I really don't understand why people would vote that someone else plays the deck they've built. Playing the deck is half the fun in my eyes.

You should do a breakdown of colors after each round, and before you start the tournament, that way we can see what strategies work and which do not.

Do to an overwhelming landslide in the poll so far... I may just end up doing the tournament myself. However, I will organize an unofficial tournament on Untap.in for those that wish to play. I hope this satisfies everybody. Have a great day!
