I think that this goes under "challenges and articles" instead of "modern". Epochalyptik

Nah, those creature are too good.
I've really wanted to try making the Kitchen Finks + Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Viscera Seer combo work, however.

Step 1: lands
Step 2: mana dorks
Step 3: counter spells/removal
Step 4: combo
Step 5: profit.
There ya go.

Archangel of Thune + Spike Feeder is better. No card draw, but if infinite life and an infinitely large army doesn't win, well, you're doing it wrong. Its in the same deck GlistenerAgent alluded to (or it used to be. Haven't been keeping up on the list)

@GlistenerAgent, those cards are too bad, lets try Freed from the Real + Orochi Leafcaller + Zhur-Taa Druid

We could also just play Jeskai Ascendancy ...
Excuse me while I go bang my head against a wall.

If we're talking about combo decks with long turns, just play UR storm.

At least Storm has a reasonable chance of fizzling. Once they start going off, you're just dead. I also like watching Storm combo off rather than Jeskai, but that's just my preference.

this is an infinite self mill combo though, not one to kill your opponent so stop suggesting decks that already exist if you're not gonna bother taking the challenge no point commenting

Your creatures get infinitely big. I'd call that a combo to kill your opponent. Also, drawing your deck probably means you have a way to kill them.

What you do is draw your entire deck -1 using those cards, then discard everything and the Past in Flames as well as, while keeping the 1of Obzedat's Aid you're running in your hand. next turn, you draw the last card, then cast Obzedat's Aid , targeting your Past in Flames and casting it,which costs 1 red thanks to your 3 Goblin Electromancer s in play. You then castyour 4 Gut Shot , Gitaxian Probe , and Mutagenic Growth , then Grapeshot ing them for the win

You just lost to your own thread. I'll let you figure out where.

Also, it's an infinite life combo. One does not simply kill oneself with infinite life.

I just realized I can't run gitaxian probe b/c of decking myself. Good thing Apostle's Blessing exsists. So I'm sorry for having a flaw in the durdliest deck ever

I made the deck

I forgot to mention that after you grapeshot them, you have Jon Finkel shake your hand, crowning you winner of PT fate reforged.
BTW, I win this thread

I don't know, I think it's pretty strong to have an infinite combo inside of your infinite combo.

I just realized how good Glittering Wish would be to keep horizon chimera, fathom Mage, and obzedat's aid in the sideboard

While you're at it, just play mana dorks and run Jeskai Ascendancy combo Birthing Pod . Good deck.

Does Bant have the card filtering available to make a 3 card combo viable in Modern? Obviously protecting it is another story...you'll want to somehow not die along the way too.
I liked this combo, but it seems unreliable.
Bant Soul Sisters with Bioshift and Ajani's Pridemate ? That way when the pridemate gets killed you can move the counters onto the Fathom Mage ? Soul Sisters have good synergy with Archangel of Thune , blue for control...sounds janky to me. Might as well throw Leonin Relic-Warder + Phyrexian Metamorph in too.
You could run Pod to tie things together?
October 9, 2014 6:55 p.m.
GlistenerAgent says... #28
Birthing Pod is your card filtering, basically.

or, if you like bad cards, run Congregation at Dawn .
