An End to an Article Series??

I'm going to keep this short and sweet.

I think I am going to stop writing my Oh, the Ways you can Play series. It doesn't have a big fan base (smash10101 is about the only one I can think of off the top of my head) because it is aimed towards a group of people which TappedOut doesn't really have: newbies on their first few days.

However, if people are enjoying them, I will continue to write them. But I need to know: Are people enjoying the Oh, the Ways you can Play series?

I enjoy all content. TBH I've been off the site recently due to a particular user causing drama. I'm going to be picking up my activity again.

I forgot to mention: I would be writing other, unrelated content about random things (like how to style your username, for one).

I'd much prefer content that is geared toward the user aspect of the site, and I think that your latter series idea would be one worth going through on. I was never a particular fan of the ways you can play, because as you pointed out, that was really not suited for your audience after a while.

I think there is definitely a lot more space in your current series. If you feel you want to appeal to a larger group, maybe start stretching out into some of the less-heard-of formats, such as Tower, Pauper EDH, and Ironman (if you haven't heard of this one, you'll cry when you look it up!). Also, I'd consider not doing so many formats at once so the material doesn't dry up so fast.

Unless they are becoming a pain to find time for, YES! I love your articles (I happen to not post on them for separate reasons). They are awesome.

I forgot to say this in my last post, but I generally am just really happy to see any articles whatsoever. I think it really puts on a good face for TO, especially when it is well done.

Ohthenoises Such drama, much intrigue

Matsi883 I am thinking about starting a new article series and stopping my own as well. Obviously, my "A Guide" articles are like an introduction to x topic. Also, I've found myself not liking my recent articles I've written in this "A Guide" series (not any I've posted, just ones I've written). So, I'm not definite right now on whether I'll continue this series or not. Whether I do or don't though I'll continue writing, but I'm currently In a brainstorming state of mind so my next article will most likely be very experimental.

When you write, you're often your own worst critic. Sometimes it's hard to love the things you create, because you see all the faults.

Dalektable No. I'm not spreading it further. I just meant to say that I've been away from tappedout for a while.

Ohthenoises Haha I was just joking, I am definitely not one to promote drama. I'm sorry for your absence, miss seeing you around so that's unfortunate.

As your only fan, I feel like I am required to speak in advocacy of the continuation of Oh, the Ways you can Play.

Now that that's over with, I think you should end it if you think not enough people are reading it and your energies would be better spent elsewhere. I used to just read all the articles on here, and comment on them if I had something to add. I would rather see something you want to write than an article series you don't like. If you want to continue Oh, the Ways then go for it. If not, don't.
