WTF, Pucatrade?!

The Blind Eternities forum

So today I went to look at my 'Haves' list on Pucatrade, and was surprised to see that my entire list was gone. 12000+ cards painfully indexed by name and set.

I do have a backup from a few weeks ago. Why? Because this has happened before. And when it did, I emailed them. But I never heard back. And then it happened several more times while importing large sets of cards, so I got in the habit of making backups.

However, today I hadn't done any importing. There wasn't anything out of the usual, and my list is still gone. So now I'm in a position where:

  1. My backup is several weeks old
  2. I've added several thousand cards since then
  3. I have about 200 cards going outbound in trades since then that need to be culled from the list upon re-import.

I emailed them again but I don't really expect to hear anything back. I love the site but this is freaking asinine.

Thanks for listening :(

can't reach. the main point of posting this was to a) whine, and b) see if it had happened to anyone else.

never happened to me, 9,818 cards and counting. that does sound like a huge pain in the ass though.

Sorry man, but i've been posting on this site for months that pucatrade is a shitty system run by people who don't give a shit about their clients.

They have had multiple fundraisers where they have just internally consumed the funds, not spent them on what they promised they would to improve the site.

On top of that, it's just straight up a poorly designed system. They pay their staff and guest writers with pucapoints, inflating the system, and they give free points to people who advertise for them.

Take this lesson to heart. Liquidize your points and don't play their game.

Never happened to me yet. Take a few steps closer and then lunch then in face. If you still can't reach you should invest in a long range fist

They must have a head office somewhere. Call them, make a ruckus, someyimes it's just gotta be done for people to smarten up, it's what I'd do in your position.

Pretty sure Reddit's done that (maybe many times), and not much has changed :/

So I emailed the Sr. Dev, the 'founder' and one other dude. It was a pretty pissy email. They got back to me pretty quickly and ended up restoring my data, which is good. I've done a hell of a lot of trades on that site - over 5k$ worth. I just want it to function correctly.
