Even in poor condition, you're still dropping quite a lot of money. These cards will never be "cheap", and most copies are held dearly by collectors. I'm not sure you can easily find a distributor for these kinds of cards.

you can find them on TCG, but I'm sure you knew that. Due to the rarity of the cards regardless of their condition, you won't find any retailers who sell exclusively these cards, or even people who specialize in it.

Make a post, or browse, asking for the condition you want and the price range you're looking for, and then you can just ask for a review of the guy to make sure you're not dealing with anyone too shady.
I've done a few transactions there, and I've gotten good service from everyone I've worked with.

TCGplayer has both.
Cheapest Black Lotus is from Unlimited and costs $3400. http://shop.tcgplayer.com/magic/unlimited-edition/black-lotus
Cheapest Time Walk is from Unlimited and costs $869.49. http://shop.tcgplayer.com/magic/unlimited-edition/time-walk
You can also check Facebook groups, StarCityGames, Ebay. and a lot of other sites.

for trying to acquire specific things, I sometimes like to use mtggoldfish.com to scope out various vendors and ebay. mtgprice.com is ok for some stuff, but the prices for certain vendors isn't always the most accurate.
