What's the nicest thing you've ever done?

I'm feeling like some positive vibes.

One thing per person please, as I don't want this to turn into a brag book.

Back before I knew what cards were worth, I gave a new player a pack fresh Scalding Tarn to help him make his deck better. Although, I probably wouldn't have had I known how much it was worth and how much it would be worth, lol.

Anybody do something nice that DIDN'T involve money?

Hmm. The nicest thing I've done without a horrifically depressing epilogue or involving money...

After reading that some lowlifes stole almost a ton of food my county's local foodbank, I organized and ran a food drive across several local grocery stores. We were able to collect approximately 1.25 tons (1,133 kg for our Aussie friends) of food, fully replacing, with interest, the amount wrongfully taken.

in a game of magic: played an Aegis Angel targeting a card that needed to be removed in order for the game to not end.

IRL: hmmmmm.... tbh I'm not that nice of a person IRL

Taught my bud to play magic, which in turn lead him to get his brother into the game, which in turn got his girlfriend into the game. Spreading the love of Magic is always a good thing.

Thanks! Hope the good vibes helped.

Though, in the interests of full disclosure, I now am happily employed as a professional homewrecker and child thief, profiteering off human misery (to paraphrase some of my clients). I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong impression of me!

I take it that you get children out of less than favourable living situations?

That's a tough job that needs a sensitive hand, and is OK by me.

I used to do a lot of work with young people who couldn't live at home any longer.

Sometimes I work to put children in less favourable living conditions. Even the scum of the earth deserves legal representation--it's just a bit soul crushing when they're your client.

My friend lives six hours away from where I do.

His eighteen month old son died just before christmas, one year.

I drove up to where he lives, rented a motel room nearby, and visited him each day to help with anything he or his wife needed.

My husband drove up later, for the funeral.

I helped to carry the coffin.

It was all so terribly, terribly sad.

That's awful--my sincerest condolences. That is good of you to have done so much for your friend, no one should have to go through something like that alone.
