Now, I hate green. I find it bland and repetitive. My friend and I are in an argument over the elves in LOTR. I believe that the High elves of Gondolin from Lord of the Rings universe only share pointed ears with the tree hugging, wild, hippy elves of magic. He keeps pressing the argument that all elves are green. I find this immensely flawed as I believe that they are U/W. As they are amazing blacksmiths, civilized, righteous, intelligent, meditative, and prudent. Not like the savage forest elves of Magic. Who do you think is correct?

Elves are also of black mana depending on who you ask.

Almost all elves in fantasy derive their characteristics from Tolkien, which is to say they are pointy-eared aristocrats and warriors who share a strong bond with nature and are at least moderately xenophobic. I would be inclined to agree that Tolkien elves have some aspects of white to them, but I wouldn't say they have any blue.

Of course, there are variations, but the above is true of most elves and certainly of stereotypical elves.

Wood elves, maybe, but high elves have many blue characteristics. Let me amend my statement I am saying high elves are Azorius, not all elves.
