Strange 1 of's

At my LGS, a lot of us make competitive decks and throw in a strange, off the wall choice for a 1 of in the deck just to see how it fairs. It's mostly just for fun, but sometimes the way it changes the game is interesting. One of my favorite has to be my inclusion of a single Chromanticore in my RUG mid build. It was fun to play it using Sylvan Caryatid and watch my opponent say...."huh"?

What silly one of's have you experimented with?

Mono Green devotion: Used either Sylvan Caryatid or Burning-Tree Emissary to cast Blood after a Aspect of Hydra Worked sooooo well, I loved it.

Oh ya, I also play a one of Ral Zarek in my UWR control list. So many times have people had to read him and be like "you run this ?" Only for me to kill them with it.

BorosPlayer, can you fill me in on what is funny about Storm Crow ? I don't get people when they reference it.

TheGamer, I ran a 1 of Ral Zarek in a RUG list and he was pretty decent. I like him despite people hating on him.

Storm Crow is a beast, and the number one reanimation target (especially foils). It takes multiple removal spells, survives Lightning Bolt (check out the older art) and flies. What more could you want?

Ral Zarek is OK. I'd play Ajani Vengeant wherever both are legal.
