Pokemans yo. I used to play the mcshit out of it when i was young...ultimately it led to me notion pojeman cards and playing seriously which lead to me picking up mtg due to mtg being more immersive and easier to comprehend as a game

November 22, 2014 1:18 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #4

Clarification : it's a remake of a pokemon from ten years ago

November 22, 2014 1:19 p.m.

and it's pretty great. I picked up Saphire, I recently started playing so I wasn't around for the originals. Only been playing for a month-ish, and loving it.

I am so stoked for the game man, It's the only pokemon I never beat (original ruby, that is). I was eight when I first played it, put 80+ hours in it but got stuck in victory road. I am ready for my revenge. And I also played pokemon, the card game, when I was younger it drove me towards mtg.

November 22, 2014 1:25 p.m.

HorrorAvengers says... #7

for me it was yugioh that drove me toward magic. I got tired of the bullshit than konami was doing with the game (look up spellbook of judgment. You don't even have to be familiar with the game, just look at it. It's merchant scroll with storm and chord of calling attached.)

November 22, 2014 1:32 p.m.

Unforgivn_II says... #8

Wait what? 80 hours of gameplay and you never beat the elite four? I could usually do it between 20-30 hours.

I'd play it, but I'd put it down once I finished the story. Not worth buying a new ds and game just for that

November 22, 2014 1:33 p.m.

Dalektable says... #9

Unforgivn_II I got stuck in victory road, i never reached the Elite Four. If so It would have been no problem, I normally beat the games in about 30 hours.

November 22, 2014 1:34 p.m.

Oh, ok. I still have my yellow blue and red versions from the original games. It was a lot of fun back in the day. I stopped playing after fire red and leaf green. I want a fan of ruby/emerald or the ones that came after.

November 22, 2014 1:34 p.m.

Unforgivn_II says... #11

Dalektable - did you get glitched or something? Like, I'm sure you could have found the game guide and worked your way through otherwise

November 22, 2014 1:39 p.m.

Dalektable says... #12

Unforgivn_II I don't know man, I was 8 at the time. All I remember is I never beat the game because I didn't make it past victory road.

November 22, 2014 1:43 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #13

I played yugioh too at the time. Traded all 2000 of my cards for a couple hundred mtg and never looked back

November 22, 2014 1:48 p.m.

ChiefBell says... #14

Has anyone got to the end of omega ruby or sapphire? I want to know what the end game is like? Black and white 2 had great endgames but X and Y were pretty weak after the elite 4.

November 22, 2014 1:52 p.m.

Completely worth it. It's funny, I had a 250$ gladiator beast deck, and thought it was so absurdly expensive and was the pinnacle of my deckbuilding. Oh how wrong I was.

November 22, 2014 1:53 p.m.

naw, I'm just right past the 3rd gym

November 22, 2014 1:54 p.m.

GoldGhost012 says... #17

I want this game. So bad. Curse not having a 3/2DS.

ChiefBell, part of the post-game is the Delta Episode, which includes Mega Rayquaza and a legit in-game Deoxys.

November 22, 2014 1:56 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #18

I just made it to newport haha i wingul op man. It's been crushing everything

November 22, 2014 1:56 p.m.

ChiefBell says... #19

When you do finish the elite 4 please can you tell me what happens next? I would love there to be a battle tower or something.

November 22, 2014 2:03 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #20

I shall do that. I'll be playing it all vacation so I'm sure I'll be done soonish

November 22, 2014 2:05 p.m.

DarkHero says... #21

I mean if you didn't play yellow on a gameboy color than we can't be friends. still got mine.

November 22, 2014 2:56 p.m.

TelleoStar says... #22

I played Yellow on a color! Can we be friends?

I also played red and blue, and then crystal and then ruby/sapphire/emerald. Not all on a color, obviously.

November 22, 2014 2:59 p.m.

K34 says... #23

X and y were crap. I plan to get alpga sapphire. the nostalgia will be worth it. Nostalgia is what got me back into mtg after all

November 22, 2014 3:51 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #24

We should all meet up in a secret base

Got Omega Ruby on Friday. Haven't been on the Internet until just now.

So. How bout dat Delta Chapter?

November 24, 2014 1:35 a.m.

GoldGhost012 says... #26

Is Deoxys really as much of a pushover as I've heard?

November 24, 2014 1:36 a.m.

VampireArmy says... #27

Dat delta chapter was adorable. I ship The hell outa Brendan and May :) on the other hand, i am enjoying my rayquayza as i am a lover of dragon types. I picked mudkip though as my starter because i did that ten years ago wanting to change from always picking fire...best decision for this series.

I only just caught deoxys but i assume it's not as good as it used to be.

xzzane says... #28

I can't wait to play this. My brother was awesome enough to pick me up a copy of Omega Ruby, so I get to play it next time I see him. I really hope they have all the same end content that they did in Emerald, because that battle pyramid was amazing.

November 24, 2014 2:34 a.m.

VampireArmy says... #29

Actually yes you do get to go to battle island but that's all I'll spoil. The ending is extremely immersive and reading up on it will be way less fun

November 24, 2014 2:35 a.m.

xzzane says... #30

I can't wait. I just hope my brother doesn't spoil everything!

November 24, 2014 2:45 a.m.

VampireArmy says... #31

I bought cry from how much they put into this game. Even Surrey completely finishing the entire main story delta and all i find out there's more! Clearly someone was channeling their inner Billy Mayes when they made this game. But wait there's more!

November 24, 2014 4:58 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #32

I beat the Delta chapter twice yesterday (killed a certain legendary Pokemon at the end by accident and realized I hadn't saved the entire time) and it was great.

@Ghost: Deoxys was a bitch to catch because it has Recover, but I haven't used it in battle yet. I don't use legendaries in battle, they're too OP for any part of the gameplay and just no fun in multiplayer.

November 24, 2014 9:19 a.m.

xzzane says... #33

Have to admit the lack of the battle frontier really aggravated me. I was looking forward to doing the battle pyramid.

November 26, 2014 2:34 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #34

I'm just disappointed that the Battle Resort storyline isn't out yet. I wanna know the deal with Looker. And Steven. And Archie (if you have OR, Maxie if AS).

November 26, 2014 2:41 a.m.

ChiefBell says... #35

Sort of necrobump, sort of not. What's the end game like guys? Is there a battle tower like in Black and White 2? Is there somewhere where you can battle trainers that have level 70+ pokemon?

December 2, 2014 12:32 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #36

theres a battle tower and an endless amount of random things to discover along the paths. new pokemon and whatnot

December 2, 2014 12:41 p.m.

ChiefBell says... #37

So I can battle really high levelled opponents? Sweet.

December 2, 2014 12:46 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #38

it's notable to mention that when you rebattle random passerbys, thier pokemon level up too. so far theyre up to about 45 respectively

December 2, 2014 12:54 p.m.

-Fulcrum says... #39

The second time going through the Pokemon league, their levels are around 70-75. I was not expecting that going in with my level 60s...

December 2, 2014 1:15 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #40

happened to me to as well. >:/ I needed cash, yo

December 2, 2014 1:19 p.m.

K34 says... #41

At least the elite 4 do level up. In the originals they stayed at such low levels that you couldn't hardly level your guys past level 75 unless you wanted to spend a whole weekened doing nothing but rebattling them.

December 2, 2014 2:06 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #42

If you have Wi-Fi I recommend visiting other people's bases and adding them to yours. If you have the level release, you get to battle their actual pokemon and often they're about 70-100

December 2, 2014 2:12 p.m.

-Fulcrum says... #43

@K34: I spent a whole summer rebattling them. At the end, I had four level 100s and 999 premier balls.

Only four.

Glad training is easier now.

December 2, 2014 3:28 p.m.

I honestly just get most of my pokemon to level 50, I do a lot of battlespot. I have 1 team of 100s and that's enough for me. Greninja, Charizard X, Aegislash, (shiny) Trevenant, Scizor, and Gengar.
