So I just went to my first concert to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra and it was phenomenal. Who did you see for your first concert and did you like it?

I haven't really been to a whole lot, but the first one I saw was when I went to see The Bouncing Souls in Boston while visiting my sister while she was going to college. It was AMAZING! All their songs are awesome sing-a-long songs, and the energy as awesome. As an all ages show, it was so cool to see young and old alike in the crowd, even parents with their little ones rockin' out! At the end of the show, the drummer tossed a drum stick out into the crowd. It was directly in line with me, and I jumped as high as I could but it was just a little to high for me to catch. DARN IT!! But it was still an insanely good time. My voice was very hoarse afterwords :):)

I went to see Above & Beyond for my first concert (or at least big party for which you had to buy tickets). Very cool dudes, interacted a lot with the crowd and brought a lot of good will and energy to masses. Really inspired me to go to more concerts since then.

I saw Weird Al Yankovic with my dad and little brother when I was like 12 or 13 (which is also when I first started playing Magic). I still remember it, even though it was about 25 years ago...It was a fantastic show....I remember he changed his costume to match every song. Our seats were on the balcony level of the place, right in the front middle.

My first concert was Metallica (last month in fact). I enjoyed it soo much, I'm planning to go see Epica in April, and possibly Evanescence

My first was greenday way back in 1998, I was 14. It was amazing, and I tried to go see as many bands as I could for about 10 years or so after. My advice to anyone is to go watch those jam bands like phish and dave Matthews band, not because the shows are super spectacular, but because of walking around the lot beforehand. People sold everything from crazy t shirts, to food, to random collectibles and so much more. Almost better than seeing the show. Far and away the best show I watched was gwar, mainly because it is more of a performance than just playing music. They had people dressed all crazy, doing ridiculous things on stage very entertaining to say the least. Nothing is like a gwar show, a friend of mine told me lady gaga shows are similar in this regard.

Im surprised that all but two of these were rock/metal bands and Guftders sounds like me and you have very similar tastes in metal genres.

Nice! I want to go see Dimmu Borger more than anything, but they haven't toured the UK in years...

Also, wouldn't mind seeing Carly Rae Jepson, but she's touring with Katy Perry, and I'm not a big fan of Katy P

Im a metalhead too, it just so happened my FIRST show was steve miller, my first metal show was metallica in 05 and i was seriously disappointed. Down opened for them and they were phenomenal but tallica was awful, off time, poor soloing and an IDGAF attitude about it left a sour taste in my mouth, especially because i paid 200 bucks for floor tickets. Most recent concert was maiden in chicago, saw dream theater open for them before portnoy was let go...phenomenal show! Ive also seen slayer tear the house down 6 or 7 times!

My first show was dream theater in worcester mass. I too am a metal head, but I follow a lot of diy folk punk bands around nowadays. Those shows are always so fun.

Another subject best ban you saw? For me it's hard to pick but I think the one that has to take it is all that remains. They where incredible and I saw them in a dinky bar that half the bans I ever saw there sounded like crap

chirz2792 I would imagine so if its the big four thrash bands it had best be a good show! Bulldawg1310 from my reading (on Wikipedia) on Steve Miller he does do rock just pop rock..

My first concert was Aerosmith and Cheap Trick at the TD Garden in Boston in 2012, on the day of my birthday, in fact; my brother bought us tickets as his gift to me, and it was an awesome experience. Several years later, in 2015, I won two tickets to see AC/DC at Gillette Stadium, so I gave one to my brother to return his favor.

Since then, I have been to at least one concert every year (my current record is six concerts in 2016), and I already have a ticket to see Judas Priest in 2017.

chirz2792, wow, that is awesome! I dearly wished that I could have attended that concert, but that was before I had sufficient money to attend concerts on a regular basis.

@DemonDragonJ: Yeah those tickets weren't cheap. I was in the second level of seating and the tickets were $125 a piece. It was something like $500 for a floor ticket IIRC. But damn it was worth it :).
