Black Sun's Zenith's -1/-1 Counters and Timing

I was contemplating adding Black Sun's Zenith as a sweeper to a Glissa, the Traitor deck I'm working on. However, I was curious to whether or not I have a say on the order those -1/-1 counters are placed on creatures. Can I put those counters on other creatures first, killing them and triggering Glissa's recursion ability before she also dies? Or are the -1/-1 counters placed on all creatures simultaneously, preventing her ability from triggering?

All counters are added simultaneously, but Glissa will still "see" the other creatures die.
