I broke off the audio jack from my headphones in my laptop audio port. I have another port for a microphone, that I don't think will work like an audio port. Is there someway I can fix my existing port or convert the microphone port into an audio port? Or should I just buy a usb male to audio in converter? Thanks

Yeah an external audio interface can be got pretty cheaply.

Have you tried using needle-nose pliers to get the broken jack out? Depending on the type of break, you may be able to grab the end and just pull it out. Do you know if the port itself was damaged?

no the port is fine. And no the needle nose dont work. Its too far in and the break was the very tip.

There are some fairly nice USB sound cards out there. Better off just getting one of those.
