Zombie Belcher (Post-Rotation Update)

Standard* Mono-Black Tribal Zombie

Jimmy_Chinchila

Sideboard

Plague Belcher is OP and will end up in the Mono-Black Zombies archetype seeing the rounds this season, mark my words!

Make Zombies and kill them to belch plague upon your foes. Belcher's -1/-1 counters aren't bad when killing a zombie pings the opponent. Dread Wanderer and Doomed Dissenter are ideal targets, as the former two can come back easily and the latter leaves us with a zombie token.

Get enough zombies on board with a Belcher and it basically prevents opponents from casting sweepers/wraths without killing themselves in the process. Many slower decks will allow lots of damage with the plan of stabilizing. Instead, they take a lot of little incremental damage over the first few turns and then get to a checkmate where wrathing will kill them and they lack enough spot removal to stave off the onslaught.

Another upside is that Plague Belcher doesn't see much play and can steal you game 1's often when people can't rely on the typical ways to beat Zombies (Sweltering Suns etc.).

Input and upvotes appreciated as always!

Sideboard has more removal for creature decks. Lay Bare the Heart and Dispossess can wreck game 2 on the play. Against Control or Combo you'll want to get in damage fast and strip key pieces to outrace them.

More to come...
