I've seen a couple of lists out there I like, but really want to focus on one that I prefer and really fits with my play style. I really enjoy the consistency of the Mono B version of this, even though the mainboard needs some tweaks. I'm in a love triangle with Desecration Demon, Plague Belcher, and Lord of the Accursed which will take a bit more play testing to figure out.
I run Never/Return over Vraska'a Contempt simply because with the mana curve of this deck I rarely ever have 4 open mana on the opponent's turn, plus then Aftermath affect of Never/Return is very synergistic with the ZomBea theme.
The creature base is basically all it can be at the moment, the only real other option would be Scrapheap Scrounger as a 2 drop. The three drop slot seems to be more of a match up or player based choice. You don't really get the value of Plague Belcher unless the creature dies, but it also gives value to trades with aggro.. where as Lord of the Accursed can give menace and does give an anthem to how ZomBeas.
I am not attempting to build my sideboard quite yet, simply because choices.. so many choices. Plus I will be tailoring it towards my own local FNM where I mostly play.
I would be quite please if you could playtest the deck and give me feedback, I have been doing the same myself and have a general idea of what I may or may not like to do to the deck.
Sometimes Lilian's Mastery is a dead card in my hand so I was considering -1 and +1 Fatal Push, helping also bring the CMC of the deck down. Maybe +1 Lord -1 Plague? Possibly -1 Plague +1 Dessecration Demon (cuz y knot?). Mono B is just so much fun!
